The Sturgis Composite High School hosted senior 2A boys Conference playoffs on November 14. Teams that were vying for top spot to represent their school at Regionals included Cudworth, Muenster, Sturgis, and Norquay.

The Preeceville atoms, novices and midgets kicked off the hockey season with exhibition games. The atoms took to the ice first, taking on Wynyard on November 14. The game was evenly matched with both teams scoring one goal in the first period.

“Walking is one of the best exercises for all age groups and it is free,” said Eugene Boychuk, Sturgis Kinsmen representative. The Sturgis indoor walking program has started again on November 2.

The Sturgis Read Club has been a busy centre offering numerous activities for everyone. “Come and join us for an exercise program on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m.,” said Betty Lou Skogen.
