PORCUPINE PLAIN — People from all over the region came to Porcupine Plain to see hockey’s holy grail – and the man who brought it there. Kelly Chase, originally from Porcupine Plain, brought the Stanley Cup to his hometown on Oct. 24.

St. Marks held a special dinner of Thanksgiving Sunday afternoon, open to all after a short service. The event was very well attended!

Three die in accident

Stacey Strykowski was nominated as the Saskatchewan New Democrat candidate for Canora-Pelly. Strykowski was acclaimed as the candidate this evening in front of New Democratic Party members at the Rainbow Hall in Canora.

Between Oct. 8-12, a 2019 20' White Gator enclosed Trailer, Sk. Plate 243JMS was stolen from a street in Invermay, Sask. The trailer hitch was locked and there was furniture stored inside. The trailer also had a winch mounted on the front A frame.

Typically dexterity games are either love them, or leave them in my world. Crokinole is the best game there is, rod hockey is fantastic, but most are not exactly my forte.

After years of teaching journaling workshops, the regular habit has slipped away from me. Life is moving faster. I’m moving slower. Taking an hour at the end of each day to jot my thoughts and prayers simply rarely happens anymore.
