While it’s not new news, it is still good news, in terms of the City of Yorkton.

Today at 1:23 p.m., RCMP officers from the Wadena Detachment were called to a residence on the Fishing Lake First Nation. A caller reported to police that an adult male was causing a disturbance outside a residence and was armed with a weapon.

An idea proposed by a new Kamsack Power House Museum board member led to the organization of a successful fundraising event recently.

The City says the season is busy in terms of construction but work goes smoothly on resurfacing Broadway Street (above). Other work is ongoing as well. “It’s our busiest construction season ever,” said Mayor Bob Maloney.
