Yorkton This Week

Yorkton and Melville faced off once again, this time in enemy territory. The rivalry continued Saturday night in Melville at 7:30 pm, where the tone was much darker.

The third leg of the Legacy Co-op Disc Golf Tournament Series was held Saturday at the Churchbridge Credit Union Disc Golf course.

Deer Park Ladies Golf Club 2019 Club Championship was held Sept. 7 and Debbie Sapara won the Club Championship with a two-day gross score of 176. Cathy Inglis was runner-up to the Club Champ with a two-day gross score of 178.

Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit, too, could be seen putting in some mileage in support for cancer initiatives at the Yorkton Regional High School's Terry Fox Run this Sunday.

This group of runners held a uniform formation as they ran in support of the Terry Fox Run.

The annual Terry Fox Run was held at Yorkton Regional High School on Sunday, and the weather couldn't have been better. Not too hot and not too cold, many people showed up to both run and walk in support of cancer research.

Backpack-wearing students once again stroll the streets to their bus stops or classrooms. School buses roll the highways. Once more I walk alongside golden fields and amongst trees blushing red and gold; friend, grandchild or dog keeping pace.
