June has been proclaimed Parks & Recreation Month by Yorkton Council at its regular meeting May 27.

The Yorkton chapter of the Knights of Columbus is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Monday they provided some background on both the local group, and the upcoming anniversary to Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.

National HIV Testing Day, a day of awareness which started in Saskatchewan and is now marked across the country, will be held June 27.

The Cardinals are still struggling to find their feet, after playing the Regina Red Sox last night at Jubilee Park.

The 2nd annual edition of The Great Trail Treasure Hunt kicked off was announced June 17th and is expected to build on the success of last year, with nearly 1, 000 participants.

The Moon begins this month one day from new phase, which also happens to be the only total solar eclipse of 2019, beginning in the western South Pacific, cutting across Chile, and ending at Buenos Aires.

Sacred Heart High School’s rock band Channel 22 celebrated their year of music with their final concert of the school year, playing a wide range of music for an enthusiastic audience. Auditions for the 2019-20 version of the band have already begun.
