Yorkton This Week

Basketball provided some dramatic battles on the court this week, resulting in some hard-won victories -- laced with some bitter disappointments. Sacred Heart’s senior boys took on Melville Jan. 11, with a three team round robin tournament.

Dear Editor: I can’t believe I spoke to the city council in 2015.... I remember walking out after that meeting and feeling so defeated after speaking to them.

The idea of eating insects has always been a curiosity for me. For some, I recognize the idea of eating a cricket or mealworm is repulsive, but that view seems to largely be a northern hemisphere, European, North America take on things.

Few things are more satisfying than cracking the cellophane on a new game that you know little about and finding something that exceeded expectations. Outer Earth was most certainly one of those games.

Anytime a project encourages young people to read more is a good thing.
