Yorkton Council updated a 2008 Bylaw detailing the regulations to appoint the Yorkton Housing Corporation Board.

It was a busy time for Yorkton Councillor Randy Goulden last week as she attended a Board of Directors meeting with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities in Laval, Quebec. Goulden said it was 13 meetings to attend over 3.5 days.

Mar. 21 is designated by the United Nations (UN) as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It’s a day observed all around the world to focus attention on the problems of racism and the need to promote racial harmony.

Ukrainian Dance Week was unanimously proclaimed by Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.

Since operations began in October 2014, the carbon capture and storage (CCS) process at SaskPower’s Boundary Dam Power Station has prevented a total of more than two million tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.

The sad reality for those who enjoy Saskatchewan politics is that it’s often not really all that enjoyable. It’s often all about divisive fighting that tears people apart. Maybe some people like that.
