The 2017 Provincial Taekwondo Championships were held on April 1 in Regina at the Turvey Centre. Participation this year increased by more than 50%.

After a long and close race, Ituna was named the Kraft Hockeyville 2017 runner-up. O’Leary, P.E.I won the first place prize. However, Karla Sauve of the Hockeyville organizing committee in Ituna said second place was still a victory for the town.

Dear Editor: The 2017 provincial budget presented last week contained a number of measures that will affect our province. Tough decisions were made to manage deficits and put the brakes on future debt.

Wife of the late Peter Stout of Yorkton, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on Mar 25, 2017 in Yorkton, SK at the age of 89.
