The Yorkton Public Library is open at 9 a.m. Monday-Friday. --- Yorkton United FC Annual General Meeting - Wed., April 26 at 7 p.m., Room 111 at Sacred Heart High School.

The City has a new Cemetery Bylaw. Owing to the recent expansion of the Yorkton City Cemetery the Community Development, Parks and Recreation (CDPR) Department undertook a complete review of the existing bylaw.

Most years the annual Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities convention can go by relatively unnoticed within the cities, even rural cities such as Yorkton.

Tim Nagy of Yorkton, formerly of Flin Flon, passed away suddenly on March 14, 2017. He was 49 years of age. Timothy Joseph Nagy was born December 3, 1967 in Melville, SK to Joseph and Blanche Nagy.

Michael "Mike" Yaciuk, March 5,1928 - February 11, 2017. Aged 88 years; passed away peacefully at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home, Yorkton, SK. Funeral Service was held Feb. 17, 2017 at Nairn-Chyz Funeral Home, Roblin, MB.

The Stacheruk family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their wife, mother and grandmother, Liz Stacheruk of Yorkton, who fought a gallant fight until the bitter end, which came on March 16, 2017.
