Jack Owen passed away July 11, 2016 after a brave four and a half year battle with cancer at the age of 61. Jack had a passion for the outdoors, hiking and gardening.

Bonnie Muir was born on April 22, 1953 at the Yorkton Union Hospital, a daughter of Leslie and Joyce Muir. Bonnie grew up on the family farm, attended the Orkney United Church and Sunday School.

Mr. Adolph Sliwa of Yorkton entered eternal rest on August 8, 2016 at the age of 97 years. Adolph was born to Maryon and Tekla Sliwa on November 22, 1918 in Rama, SK. He lived on the farm north of Rama and attended Lone Spruce School.

Mrs. Rose Halushka of Yorkton entered eternal rest on August 10, 2016 at the age of 95 years. Rose (Rosie) Halushka was born on July 7, 1921 daughter of Kost and Mary Fedyk. She received her education at Nanton School in Homefield.

Charles Edward (Ted) Harper. Ted passed away in Sidney, BC on Friday, August 5 in his 80th year. Born in Yorkton, SK on March 7, 1936 to Nell and Jim Harper, a brother to Rusty (Doreen) Harper and Dawn (Donald) Moncur. He tried it all...

Fritz John Borys, of Yorkton and formerly of the Willowbrook District, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, SK. He was 88 years of age.

Lucy Issel was born on November 17, 1925 in Broadview, SK, the daughter of Jacob and Dorothy (nee Mann) Kremble. She was baptized on November 22, 1925 by Pastor Mundinger in Broadview and confirmed by Pastor Durdel at St.

Every time a player heads to one of the disc golf courses in the Parkland Association of Disc Golf they hold out the hope they will throw a course record round. Setting records are of course rare, and deserve to be recognized.

The Bredenbury Golf Course held a very successful night golf tournament this past Saturday with 56 avid golfers registering for the fun event. The first nine holes were teed off at 4 o’clock in daylight.
