Mrs. Violet Lucash, a resident of Kamsack Nursing Home passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Violet Lucash (nee Korol) was born on March 23, 1924 in the Donwell district to Andrew and Mary (nee Makowsky) Korol.

Lynda Darlene Tavonius, June 14, 1948 - April 15, 2012, beloved mother of Curtis, Carrie-Lyn and Corey passed away suddenly at home on April 15, 2012 at the age of 63. Lynda was born on June 14, 1948 in Cutknife, SK.

When the Miss Teen Canada - World competition is held in Toronto this July there will be a local area flavour.

Murray Delmer Moynes passed away suddenly at his home in Ajax, ON on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the age of 61. Beloved father of Craig (Kim), Scott (Meg) and Cara (Philip). Proud grandfather of Lily.

It is with great sorrow that we announce Fred Danyliuk's passing at the Pasqua Hospital on April 12, 2012. He was 84 years of age. Fred was born in the Theodore district in May 31, 1927, the son of Wasyl and Helen Danyliuk (nee Marianchuk).

Somehow the Brad Wall government seems to be sending mixed message through its recent provincial budget. On the one hand there is the anticipated everything is wonderful rhetoric associated with most budgets.

There were eight championship banners won this past season celebrating the accomplishments of the Yorkton Minor Hockey Association. Three of those banners were to commemorate championships won under the Saskatchewan Hockey Association (SHA).
