The May 2-4 weekend, as we used to affectionately call it back home, was always the highlight of the summer. Queen Victoria Day weekend always used to fall on or near the 24th of May and essentially 'named itself' appropriately.

The East Central Districts of track and field will be held at Kinsmen Century Field on May 26-27. Races start at 2 p.m. on May 26 and will include students from each school across the city.

Festival underway

The 63rd annual Yorkton Film Festival begins this Thursday with two opening night screenings in the Parkland Room at the Painted Hand Casino. Ruststarts at 5:30pm followed by a welcome receptionat 7:00pm.
