Yorkton This Week

The Yorkton Cardinals missed the Western Major Baseball League playoffs, but they did end the season on a winning note, topping Regina 2-1 at Jubilee Park last Tuesday.

There were two serious fires in Yorkton last week and thanks to the quick work of the Yorkton Fire Department, neither blaze resulted in any injuries or casualties.

The Ultimate Stride hockey camp will be taking place at the Gallagher Centre over the next four days. It gives young hockey players a chance to develop their shooting and skating skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Alexander's Yorkton Junior Cardinals are scheduled to play three games this week, including a home date last night against the Willowbrook Royals.
