Yorkton Council approved a tender for the City's 2010 concrete curb, gutters and sidewalks program. "Tenders were received on May 13, 2010 for the 2010 Concrete Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Program with three bids received.

Tennis club

The Yorkton Tennis Club has released its weekly schedule for 2010. All club activities will take place at the Western Development Museum courts. Play begins on Tuesday evenings with ladies play from 5-7 p.m.

Grandstand repairs go forward

The City of Yorkton will undertake repairs to the grandstand at the Yorkton Exhibition Grounds at a cost of $35,000. Council made the unanimous decision at its regular meeting Monday.

The Yorkton United U12 Chelsea soccer team traveled to Swift Current this past weekend May 28-30 to compete in a tournament. Yorkton dropped their first round robin game to Coaldale Thunder 6-1.

April was a very busy month for the Calder Yalenka Dance Club. The club went to a few competitions and in between we had our Spring Concert. The Community Hall was full of families, friends and community members and surrounding area.
