On July 11, 2021, Saskatchewan will enter Phase 3 of the re-open Saskatchewan plan and all remaining Public Health Orders will be removed, including mandatory masking indoors. This does not mean that the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

So we are only days away from the restrictions placed to help curb the spread of COVID-19 come off in Saskatchewan. Certainly the numbers in terms of new daily cases have been far smaller of late, with only 21 reported July 2 and 20 on July 5.

On July 6, 2021, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Punnichy RCMP responded to a report of a man armed with a rifle and making threats at Gordon First Nation. In the course of events, the responding police officers discharged a firearm and injured the man.
