Saskatc​​hewan Health Authority is notifying the public of potential exposure to COVID-19 at the following businesses where a person or persons attended while likely infectious: Yorkt​​on October 5, 6 & 7 – M​ano’s, 15-277 Broadway Street East Octobe

A Melville man reported missing Oct. 8, has been located deceased report Melville RCMP. Foul play is not suspected in the death of 90 year old Albert Serfas, Serfas was last seen driving a blue /grey 2011 Chevrolet Equinox.

On October 10, 2020 at about 8:15 pm, the Indian Head RCMP were dispatched to a serious vehicle collision on Highway 48 west of Vibank.

Between October 8-10, 2020 a Sea-Doo and its trailer were stolen from a residence at Round Lake. The Sea-Doo is a 2012 JTI-SE 155 and is brown, white and black in colour. It has a black and white tarp. The trailer is a single place unit.

The Yorkton RCMP Detachment will lift the restrictions to public access for non-emergency matters on Tuesday, October 13 th , 2020. Regular employment/volunteer criminal record checks and civil fingerprinting services will resume on this date.

Among the new faces seeking a seat on Yorkton Council is Lauretta Ritchie-McInnes. Ritchie-McInnes says she wants to be part of the municipal discussions as they most keenly affect the people living in Yorkton.

Premier Scott Moe is urging increased vigilance in light of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the province.

There are 48 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on October 12, bringing the total to 2,140 cases.

Scott Sharpe is one of the newcomers on the ballot for Yorkton Council in the upcoming municipal election in November. Sharpe said he is running because he believes “in this city and the people.
