Generally in May farmers are out in the field planting a new crop. But, for some this year, there is still crop from 2019 that needs harvested, before some producers can turn their attention to seeding for 2020.

Implementing extensive COVID-19 inspired regulations

It was interesting, although hardly surprising, to see a recent article in the agricultural press suggesting a growth in Ag technology coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Endangered species day was established 15 years ago. It is a day for us to learn about the wildlife, plants, animals and insects that are at risk of disappearing and perhaps most importantly, what we can do about it.

Premier Scott Moe announced Thursday the province will get a head-start on phase two of the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan for the long weekend, with golf courses and drive-in theaters being able to open May 15.

The Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association (SSGA) welcomes Minister of Agriculture David Marit’s announcement today, ( see story here ), of additional funding to help livestock producers manage the impacts of COVID-19-related market disruptions.

Some activities begin Friday

As of May 14, 2020, Saskatchewan has five new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 582. Four of the new cases are in the Far North (La Loche area) and one is in the Regina region.
