The Yorkton Lions Club has donated $1000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Yorkton. The money is targeted to assist the Boys and Girls Club with their after school and evening youth programs.

On Feb. 20, 2020 Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP arrested five adults in relation to a month long investigation into prescription medication trafficking in Fort Qu'Appelle. The investigation has resulted in the seizure of opioids, cash and cell phones.

In February 2019, Wynyard RCMP was contacted by an adult female to file a report of historic sexual assault. Since the initial report, five other individuals have provided information to police in Saskatchewan involving the same individual.
