Disturbance at massage school escalates into attack on police officer

The man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assaulting a police officer.

SASKATOON – A 37-year-old man has been arrested after causing a disturbance and assaulting a police officer at a massage therapy school Tuesday.

Saskatoon Police Service say that shortly before 3 p.m. on Nov. 21, they were called to an educational institution at 701 Cynthia Street for a report of a man causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they saw the man acting erratically inside the building. He didn’t comply with police commands and actively resisted arrest.

During a struggle with officers, the man was brought to the ground where he then kicked a Constable in the head twice causing non-life-threatening injuries.

The man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and assaulting a police officer.
