WASKESIU/MONTREAL LAKE – Update: Isiah Roberts was located and arrested by police Thursday morning at a home in Montreal Lake, SK.
Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP was supported in this investigation by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST), Prince Albert RCMP General Investigation Section, Prince Albert RCMP Crime Reduction Team, and the Prince Albert RCMP Police Dog Services.

Original story: Police are searching for 22-year-old Isiah Roberts from Montreal Lake Cree Nation after an assault on Monday.
Roberts is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault, unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and obstructing a peace officer.
On May 29 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence on Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Officers immediately responded. Their investigation determined a man and woman were assaulted over the course of several hours. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious.
Officers observed the man in the home and notified him he was under arrest. He fled from the residence and ran into a nearby wooded area. Officers searched extensively for him and he was not located.
A warrant has been issued for Isiah Roberts’ arrest and Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team [WEST] are actively working to locate him.
Isiah Roberts is approximately five-foot-10 and 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Isiah Roberts may be in the Prince Albert or Montreal Lake area, but this has not been confirmed.
