La Ronge man faces second-degree murder charge in death of woman

LA RONGE – Police have charged 33-year-old Brad Ratt of La Ronge with second-degree murder in the death of 52-year-old Sharon Brown.

La Ronge RCMP say they got a report of an injured woman at a home on Far Reserve Road in La Ronge around 12:15 a.m. on March 31. When officers arrived, they found the injured woman. EMS attended and pronounced Brown deceased at the scene. Her family has been notified, and victim services has been made available to them. 

The death was considered suspicious and Saskatchewan Major Crimes took over the investigation.

Ratt was remanded in custody and appears in La Ronge Provincial Court on April 4.
