Update: No criminal charges after lost Lloydminster child identified

LLOYDMINSTER – Update 2: After an investigation, RCMP say there doesn't appear to be anything criminal in nature or the need for further police involvement.

"At the end of the day, he was located safe and is now back with his family," said Cst. Kelsey Davidge, Public Information Officer for Lloydminster RCMP Thursday.

Update: Lloydminster RCMP advise that the child has been identified. Cst. Kelsey Davidge, Public Information Officer for Lloydminster RCMP told SaskToday.ca that a family member is currently at the RCMP station in Lloydminster and the boy is safe.

RCMP haven't decided if there will be any charges.

Original story - Police are trying to locate the family of a lost child. He was found around 7 p.m. on April 2 walking alone near a complex at 2902 50 Ave in Lloydminster.

RCMP say they got a call from someone who saw the child alone and called them.

The boy is about 1 metre tall and 45 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

He was wearing a grey zip up sweater, a black and green Helly Hanson winter jacket, a navy t-shirt with green writing on it and black winter boots with blue lining on them.
