Meadow Lake RCMP CRT seizes drugs and arrests two people

Inside the vehicle, police found crack cocaine, cocaine, methamphetamine, pharmaceuticals, a pellet gun, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

MEADOW LAKE - Meadow Lake RCMP had started an investigation into drug trafficking in January. On Feb. 10, the Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction team (CRT) stopped a vehicle around 8:30 p.m. as part of their investigation.

They seized 18 grams of crack cocaine, 17 grams of cocaine, seven grams of methamphetamine, about 16 pharmaceutical style tablets currently under investigation, a pellet gun and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Terrance Lasas, 43, of Meadow Lake, and Rachel Martell, 30, from Prince Albert were each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of drug trafficking. Lasas was also charged with possession of a weapon contrary to a court order.  

They are scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 11.
