Moose Jaw police arrest woman after finding drugs during traffic stop

The search of a vehicle yielded over 22 grams of crystal meth and 50 grams of cocaine with a combined street value of roughly $5,250.

MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM — The Moose Jaw Police Service has taken a 48-year-old female into custody following a traffic stop. 

On Feb. 15, officers located a suspicious vehicle near Ominica Street East, with a lone female in the driver's seat. Officers approached the vehicle and immediately discovered what appeared to be cocaine, a measuring scale, and multiple cell phones on the passenger seat. They immediately arrested the female and laid charges.

Police proceeded to search the vehicle, which yielded over 22 grams of crystal meth and 50 grams of cocaine with a combined street value of roughly $5,250, along with $700 in Canadian currency. Officers also found additional drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. 

As a result, woman was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance. She will make her first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.
