PELICAN NARROWS – A male youth has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a 30-year-old Pelican Narrows man.
The youth, who can’t be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared in Pelican Narrows Circuit Court Aug. 23.
Pelican Narrows RCMP say that at about 1 a.m. on Aug. 22 they got a report about a serious assault at a home in Pelican Narrows. The police investigation determined that an altercation occurred between a man and a male youth. Officers found the man, who was seriously injured, at the scene.
The man was later declared deceased at the local clinic. His family has been notified and Victim Services has offered to help them.
Pelican Narrows RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Forensic Identification Services and Prince Albert Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service assisted with this investigation.
