SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Crime Reduction team arrested five people, seized drugs, weapons, cash, and a Mercedes-Benz following a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Police finished the investigation Wednesday after stopping a vehicle in the 2900 block of McClocklin Road and executing a search warrant in the 300 block of J.J. Thiessen Way. They seized a 2009 Mercedes-Benz ML63, $2,434 cash, 318.2 grams of methamphetamine, 385.1 grams of fentanyl, 23.5 grams of psilocybin, 1.81 litres of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 48 vyvanse pills (amphetamine), four LSD pills, 10 temazepam pills (benzo), a prohibited semi-automatic pistol, loaded magazine, additional ammunition, a 12-gauge pump-action shot gun with flash suppressor, two bladed weapons, three 3D printing machines, an eCard printer with blank plastic cards to manufacture counterfeit identification, two digital scales, two mobile phones, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Two men, age 40 and 43, are facing numerous charges relating to drug trafficking, weapons, possession of the proceeds of crime, and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions. A 35-year-old woman was arrested on unrelated warrants. Two additional women were released without charges.
Saskatoon police say the investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
