RCMP investigate after man shot during attempted home invasion

Three males dressed in all black attempted to break into a residence on 107th Street in North Battleford.

BATTLEFORDS -On March 15 at approximately 4:10 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a firearms incident that resulted in the injury of an adult individual.

Investigation determined three males attempted to break into a residence on 107th Street in North Battleford. One of them discharged a firearm, injuring an occupant of the residence. The males were described as wearing all black. One is potentially a youth, who is approximately five-feet tall. The others were adults.

The victim is being treated at the hospital for injuries described as serious.

Battlefords RCMP’s General Investigation Section is investigating with the assistance of Battlefords RCMP. Investigators do not believe there is an elevated threat to the general public at this time.
