RCMP investigating Red Earth CN death as possible hit and run

The man, 31, may have been struck by a vehicle, which didn’t remain at the scene.

On Feb. 12, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Carrot River RCMP received a report of an injured male on Highway 163 on Red Earth Cree Nation.

CARROT RIVER – A 31-year-old man from Red Earth Cree Nation has died after police say he may have been struck by a vehicle, which didn’t remain at the scene.

On Feb. 12, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Carrot River RCMP received a report of an injured male on Highway 163 on Red Earth Cree Nation.

Officers immediately responded and located the male, who was declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.

Carrot River RCMP continue to investigate in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
