Saskatoon man charged with child exploitation offences

SASKATOON – A 33-year-old Saskatoon man faces child exploitation charges after police raided a home on March 7.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit had started the online investigation into child exploitation in January. They obtained a search warrant for a Saskatoon home and arrested the man.

He was charged with distributing and possession of child pornography. He appeared in court and was released on numerous conditions. His next appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court is March 27.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
