SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a 25-year-old Saskatoon man with child pornography offences.
Members of the ICE Unit began an investigation in April of 2023 and on June 8 they raided a home in Saskatoon. Several electronic devices were examined and seized. The man was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and making child pornography available.
He was released from custody on numerous conditions until his next court appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
