SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Police Service arrested a 29-year-old woman for assault this morning.
On May 27, around 10:30 a.m., officers responded to separate reports of assault in the 300 block of Pendygrasse Road and 400 block Fairmont Drive. When police arrived, with assistance from neighbourhood witnesses, officers were able to locate the woman. She fled from police and was subsequently apprehended by a Police Service Dog [PSD] in the area of Clancy Drive and Fairmont Drive.
The woman was treated for injuries, which are believed to be minor, by paramedics at the scene of the arrest. She has been charged with common assault.
