Saskatoon police make arrest in fatal crash

He is charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing death.

SASKATOON – A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection to the fatal collision at Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West on Oct. 7, 2022.

He is charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing death. He appears in Saskatoon court June 27.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Diefenbaker Drive and 22nd Street West at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2022, and involved a Jeep Compass and a Peterbuilt Power Unit with two loaded trailers.  Both the man, aged 59, and the 60-year-old woman were taken to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.  The 27-year-old truck driver was not injured.
