Saskatoon police search for victim involving handgun, arrests 7 suspects

The SPS continues to investigate and attempt to locate the victim.

SASKATOON – Police are searching for a victim after responding to reports of an injured person in the 400 Block of Kenderdine Road at about 11:30 p.m. on May 3.

Saskatoon Police Service say a handgun had been shown and pointed at the victim. They didn’t say whether the person was shot.

Officers obtained video evidence that helped officers find descriptions of the suspects and victim. After further investigation, officers located two vehicles in a parking lot in the 100 block of Nelson Road.

A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted and seven people were taken into custody. The vehicles were searched and officers found multiple firearms.

The SPS Guns & Gangs Unit assisted in this investigation. As a result, three 16-year-old males have been charged with multiple firearms offences.

The SPS continues to investigate and attempt to locate the victim.
