Two men face firearms, drug-related charges following traffic stop

In the vehicle, police found a rifle, additional methamphetamine, and suspected fentanyl.

SASKATOON – Two men are facing criminal charges following a traffic stop by police earlier Wednesday morning. 

At about 4:30 a.m., Oct. 11, Saskatoon Police Service canine and patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered Jeep Liberty in the 2500 block of 22nd Street West. The 47-year-old driver was found to be prohibited from driving.

During his arrest, officers found him to be in possession of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and a scale.

Further investigation of the vehicle located a rifle, additional methamphetamine, and suspected fentanyl.

The driver and the 28-year-old passenger are each facing numerous firearms- and drug-related charges.
