Weekend death of Regina man deemed homicide

Police and Coroner's Service investigating.

REGINA – A death over the long weekend in the Glen Elm Trailer Court has been ruled a homicide.

Police were sent to a home in the trailer court just before 1 p.m. on May 20, responding to a report of an injured person.

"Information received was that an adult was located in a residence and was thought to possibly be deceased," said RPS in a media release. "Police and EMS arrived and attended to the individual."

EMS pronounced the man deceased at 1:07 p.m., starting the death investigation. RPS and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service is working jointly on the case

The man was identified as a 40-year-old Regina resident, and next of kin have been notified. Police are not releasing the name of the deceased, but are asking the public's help with information that may assist the investigation.

"Police are asking anyone who has information to offer to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)," RPS said.

This is the third homicide investigation in Regina so far in 2023.
