Young people face charges for alleged robbery in Regina

Man assaulted, money and property demanded, say police.

REGINA – Police nabbed three youths after a robbery in a parking lot on March 14.

The call came around 9:15 p.m., directing police to the 400 block of McCarthy Boulevard.

“Police learned the victim was approached by the suspects who demanded his money and property,” said RPS in a media release. “The suspects assaulted the victim until other members of the public intervened. The victim suffered scrapes.”

Three suspects aged 12, 13, and 14 matching the descriptions provided were arrested without incident.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youths cannot be named, but all three are jointly charged with robbery. The 13-year-old was further charged with a breach of conditions.

The youths are scheduled to make their first court appearances on March 15.
