Regina pair charged with forcible confinement, robbery

Several officers called to residence after man tells police another victim is still inside.

REGINA – A Regina pair found themselves confined, beaten and robbed over the weekend - fortunately sustaining minor injuries as a result.

At around 10 a.m. on March 11, police were sent to a house in the 1000 block of McDonald Street.

“There, they found a male who indicated he had been held against his will, assaulted and robbed by an adult male and adult female at a residence in the 900 block of McDonald Street,” said RPS in a media release. “The male victim told police there was also a female victim still inside the residence who was also assaulted and robbed.”

This information brought “several” officers to the residence where the man said the incident occurred, and the suspects were located. Police took them into custody without incident, and the female victim was also found.

Sylvia Petit, 28, and Joseph Windigo, 21, both of Regina were each charged with two counts forcible confinement and robbery.

Petit and Windigo were slated to make first appearances on these matters on March 13.
