Thieves steal tools between Dec. 24 and 30.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Lyle Night Jr. from Saulteaux First Nation.

Two 20-year-old men from Saskatoon were arrested near Whitewood, Sask., and now face charges in Winnipeg.

On Jan. 2 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Southey RCMP received a report of an injured female at a residence on Piapot First Nation.

On Jan. 2 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police were called to a business in the 200 block of 15th Street West for a robbery in progress.

Initial information indicated two males approached the security guard’s vehicle, striking its window.

A review found there was neither a reasonable likelihood of conviction nor a public interest in the case moving forward.

Wade Frenchman is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Alyssa LeCaine, Daphne Bear, and Tyler Mooswa.

The trial has been adjourned to continue on May 26 to 30, 2025.
