Corey Thurlow plans to make some investments.

MOOSE JAW — Corey Thurlow was having breakfast with his mother when he scanned his Oct. 3 Lotto Max and Extra ticket and saw a one followed by multiple zeroes. After scanning a few times in a row, he was shocked to see he won $100,000 before his day had even started!

“I had checked the website and I knew someone had won in Saskatchewan,” he explained at his prize claim interview. “It was a good feeling. $100K is a lot of money and it makes you stoked!”

“The first person I told was my mom!” he continued, laughing. “She was shocked!”

The Moose Jaw man says while he is planning to invest his windfall, he also plans to spend it on his mother to celebrate together.

“I’ll probably take my mom for Sunday brunch!” he chuckled.

Thurlow purchased his $6 Lotto Max and Extra ticket from JM35 Lotteries in the Town ‘N Country Mall at 1235 Main St. N in Moose Jaw. He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the Extra number drawn on Oct. 3 – 5678383.
