Windthorst held their annual Wreck Hockey Tournament this past Saturday with eight teams taking part including The Ponies, Cornthorst, Glenavon, The Goodtimers, Team Larsen, The Mild Bunch, Team Thue and Team Blaikie. Games began at 9:00 am and continued on throughout the day with a good crowd of spectators cheering on their favourite team.
The semi-finals came down to The Ponies and Team Thue each with 2 wins and 1 loss throughout the day. The Ponies won by a score of 3-0.
In the next semi-final it was Glenavon who had a 2 wins and 1 loss over the course of the day against The Mild Bunch who won all their games. Glenavon won over the Mild Bunch by a score of 6-1.
The final game of the evening saw Glenavon take on The Ponies. As the seconds on the clock wound down in the final period of hockey it was Glenavon who took this year's championship title with a score of 5-2.
