The Yorkton RawTec Maulers AAA Midget program is in existence so the Yorkton and surrounding Parkland region have the opportunity to experience the highest level of minor hockey in Canada, according to their board.

About one hour east of Yorkton is Ituna – a small town that has recently received a huge recognition. Ituna is one of two communities in Canada chosen as finalists for the Kraft Hockeyville competition.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers’ season has come to an end. After making it to the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League semi-finals, the first-place Regina Pat Canadians were able to sweep the best-of-five series against the Maulers.

The Yorkton Kinsmen Midget AA Terriers are off to the finals of the league playoffs. In round two, the semi finals, Yorkton was matched with Weyburn in the best-of-five series, and Yorkton came out with three wins in four games.

The Yorkton Gardon Crushers of the South Saskatchewan Female Bantam ‘A’ Hockey League are off to the league finals against the Moose Jaw Mavericks after winning their semifinal series 2-1 against the Regina Cougars.

The Yorkton Terriers have not made it beyond the first round of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs for three years. The 2013-2014 season was their last time.

The Yorkton Terriers enter the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs as the sixth place team after finishing the season with 61 points. The Estevan Bruins enter playoffs as the third place team, finishing the regular season with 77 points.

The inaugural Tim Werner Memorial hockey tournament was held on Feb. 24 and 25 at the Springside Community Center, hosted by the Springside Stoney Coulee Blackhawks.

The Yorkton Terriers have clinched the sixth place spot in their regular season standings, which secures them a bye to the second round of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoffs.

In the most exciting game of the RawTec Maulers’ season, five periods of play resulted in one huge playoff win for Yorkton, sending them into the second round of playoffs in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
