Battlefords RCMP crams four cruisers full of food bank donations

THE BATTLEFORDS — The Battlefords RCMP were outside Discovery Co-op Mall Dec. 10 as the community supported Battlefords District Food and Resource Centre with donations during their Cram-a-Cruiser event.

Pictured is one of the four cruisers that were crammed with non-perishable food items, warm clothing and other crucial items as BDFRC continues to deal with the rising cost of living and rapidly increasing inflation.

Sgt. William Picard, who was present accepting donations throughout the day with other members of the RCMP, said the community had been extremely supportive.

According to the RCMP, during the eight-hour event, donations were nearly constant, with several community members donating cash as well as food.
