THE BATTLEFORDS — Battlefords RCMP are asking the public to report sightings and information on the whereabouts of 22-year-old Lorenz Paskimin and 25-year-old Silas Soosay.
Lorenz Paskimin and Silas Soosay are wanted on warrant by Battlefords RCMP for charges including robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and fail to comply with release order condition.
These charges were laid in relation to a July 7 investigation.
On July 7, Battlefords RCMP recovered the blue Hyundai Sonata involved in this investigation.
Lorenz Paskimin is described as:
- Height: 5 ft 11 in
- Weight: 161 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour and style: short, brown
- Other descriptors: has multiple tattoos on his neck, a teardrop and small numbers tattooed on his cheeks
Silas Soosay is described as:
- Height: 6 ft 2 in
- Weight: 220 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour and style: short, black
- Other descriptors: has multiple tattoos on his face, including numbers above his eyebrows
Lorenz Paskimin and Silas Soosay are known to travel to the following areas:
- Red Pheasant Cree Nation,
- North Battleford,
- Maskwacis, Alta.
Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate.
If you see Lorenz Paskimin and Silas Soosay, do not approach them. Report all sightings and information about the whereabout of Lorenz Paskimin and Silas Soosay to your local police at 310-RCMP.

The investigation began on July 7 at approximately 5:25 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a robbery and assault on Red Pheasant Cree Nation.
Officers responded immediately. The investigation determined two adult males approached a residence and pointed a firearm at an occupant. An adult male exited the residence, and a physical altercation occurred between him and the two males. The two males then allegedly stole a vehicle from the residence.
The adult male sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious, but non-life-threatening.
Officers conducted extensive searches of the area, but did not immediately locate the suspects or the vehicle.
