LLOYDMINSTER – Following an investigation the Lloydminster RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) executed a drug trafficking search warrant resulting in significant seizures and an arrest.
On July 4, officers raided a property in Lloydminster, Sask., uncovering approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine, 84 grams of cocaine, small quantities of psilocybin and MDMA, cannabis, 70 cartons of unstamped tobacco, and a set of brass knuckles.
Amanda Pirnak-Hladchuk, 39, of Lloydminster, was arrested and now faces multiple charges including three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of cannabis with intention to sell or distribute, and possession of unstamped tobacco products for the purpose of sale.
“This warrant is part of our continued commitment to targeting drug trafficking and associated criminal activity in our community,” said Cst Jason DeCoste of the Lloydminster RCMP CRU. “The seizure of these dangerous substances helps reduce the threat to public safety.”
Pirnak-Hladchuk was released on conditions and is set to appear at the Lloydminster Provincial Court on Sept. 15.
