THE BATTLEFORDS — City of North Battleford recreational facilities remain closed at this time, says a release issued Sunday afternoon by City Hall.

Heading into Monday, March 4, it is expected that poor road conditions will impact the ability of some staff to get into work at these facilities.

"Our crews are still working on snow removal at each of the facilities as well. We do anticipate some interruptions in City facilities tomorrow morning for these reasons. The facilities will likely be fully open by the afternoon, but we encourage patrons call ahead to the respective facilities to ensure they are able to access them."

Facilities that will likely be impacted and require a call ahead:

  • Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre
  • NationsWEST Field House
  • Access Communications Centre
  • Don Ross Arena
  • Don Ross Community Centre
  • Galleries of NB (Chapel/Allen Sapp) are closed on Monday for their regular hours of operation

  • City of NB Waste Management Facility

Battlefords Transit has also posted a message indicating their services are not running on March 4, 2024. Loraas has also indicated they will not have residential cart collections in North Battleford tomorrow and will determine a plan for rescheduling pickups.

Roadways crews continue to work on clearing priority 1 snow routes. The priority map is found here: https://www.cityofnb.ca/roads-parking-transportation/snow-removal/
