COVID-19 update: Two new cases, five in hospital, 19 more recoveries
There are two new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Aug. 22, bringing the total to 1,597 reported cases. The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (1) and South West (1) zones. Of the 1,597 reported cases, 117 are considered active.

Maidstone Drop-In Centre
Jean Stewart, a longtime member of the Maidstone Drop In Centre, passed away Aug. 11 at age 96 at the Maidstone lodge. During her years as a member she took an active part in the events at the centre. Funeral service was held Aug.

The Maidstone Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m. with a tour guide to show visitors around. The museum is open by appointment Thursday and Friday. To raise money for never-ending repairs on the buildings, a raffle is in progress.
