The first case of the Coronavirus COVID-19 has been reported in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Provincial Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab confirmed the case on Monday morning.

The Battlefords North Stars will be returning home for Game Five of their series against the Nipawin Hawks on Friday night. The North Stars were unable to wrap up their series with the Hawks Wednesday at Centennial Arena in Nipawin.

Over the weekend, Saskatchewan RCMP responded to two serious snowmobile incidents. On March 6 at 9:24 p.m.

Another inmate has died at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary. On March 9, Curtis McKenzie died while in custody.

On March 8, police officers from the North Battleford RCMP received a request to check on the well-being of a 22-year-old female. Police attended a residence on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive in North Battleford and located the female deceased.
