The Battlefords North Stars wrapped up a stellar regular season home schedule Friday night, pulling out a 5-4 win over the Kindersley Klippers. It did not come easily.

On Feb. 27 at approximately 10:30 p.p., Turnor Lake RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the community of Bear Creek on Highway 155. A 64-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jeremy Cockrill has won the Sask Party nomination in the Battlefords. He took the nod Thursday night at a contested nomination meeting at the Dekker Centre defeating Tom Hawboldt, the only other contender in the race.
