After some disagreement among councilors, Battleford town council approved “the establishment of a cannabis retail outlet per federal and provincial guidelines.” Councillors Kevin Russell, Doug Laing, and Judy Pruden voted in favour of the decision.

On Feb. 9, the Unity/Wilkie/Macklin RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter into a farm shop, south of the town of Macklin. Approximately $1,000 worth of tools were stolen. The break-in would have occurred sometime overnight between Feb.
