Oct. 25, 1936 – June 8, 2016. It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Terry (Mohat) Madison. He was a kind, generous, giving and forgiving man who dedicated his life to farming and helping others.

'Are We Out of the Woods Yet?'

You may remember the Sesame Street song “who are the people in your neighbourhood?” But never mind that — do you even know which neighbourhood in North Battleford you are in? Perhaps not, but you might soon find out.

It must be 10 or more years since this place was hit by what I come to call the curling virus. The host plant or shrub was a group of volunteer elder bushes. The leaves curled. Then it was dahlias and geraniums. I tried to destroy what I found.

Approximately 900 high school students from across Living Sky School Division were inducted into the Student Hall of Fame last Thursday at a banquet and awards celebration that filled the Battleford Arena.
